For families

Dependable, transparent support that respects the person and values family knowledge.

Support that works in partnership with families

Families often hold vital knowledge about routines, communication, risks and wellbeing. AIR Care values that knowledge while keeping the person receiving support at the centre of decisions.

What families can expect

  • Clear communication
  • Respect for the person’s rights and choices
  • Support delivered in line with the agreed plan
  • Accurate records and prompt escalation of concerns
  • Regular review and honest discussion

Before support begins

We gather enough information to understand routines, communication, interests, relevant health information, medication prompting, risks, emergency contacts, funding and preferred times.

Reviews and feedback

Support is reviewed to consider what is working, progress towards goals, changes in risk, hours, staffing and whether the arrangement needs to change.

Concerns

Families are encouraged to raise concerns early. Complaints are considered fairly and without retaliation.
